Located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Convention Center is uniquely woven into Philly's urban landscape, offering visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the City of Brotherly Love's historical, cultural, culinary, and shopping experiences.

Pennsylvania Convention Center Stats

  • Opened for business in 1993
  • Completed a substantial expansion and renovation in 2011

  • Provides more than 82 meeting rooms that can be set in banquet, classroom, and/or theater seating
  • Features the largest ballroom in the Northeast, a beautifully converted room which is equivalent to the size of a football field
  • Leverages more than 10,000 hotel rooms that are within walking distance of the Center, including the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, which is connected via a skywalk to the Pennsylvania Convention Center

Hosting nearly 250 events each year, the Pennsylvania Convention Center’s large size provides it with the ability to comfortably have multiple large trade shows and conventions happening simultaneously.  Additionally, the Pennsylvania Convention Center hosts very popular annual gated admission shows including the Philadelphia Auto Show and Philadelphia Flower Show.

The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PHL CVB) works tirelessly to help convention and meeting planners book their events in Philly, including at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

The Pennsylvania Convention Center is managed by SMG which is worldwide entertainment and convention venue management firm based in suburban Philadelphia.

The Pennsylvania Convention Center offers great views of City Hall. Plus, the Convention Center is located just a few blocks away from LOVE Park and the LOVE Statue, which is the beginning of Museum Mile along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. In the other direction, the Convention Center is just a quick 6 block walk to the starting point of The Constitutional Walking Tour of Philadelphia, which provides a primary overview of Independence National Historical Park, including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and the National Constitution Center (where The Constitutional starts and ends).

The Market East/Convention Center Area is very cool, and it is constantly evolving with new restaurants, shops, entertainment venues and hotels.
