National Constitution Center's Grand Opening Events

The Constitutional Walking Tour of Philadelphia was selected by the National Constitution Center as one of its Key Community Partners to celebrate its grand opening throughout Summer 2003. Specifically, The Constitutional was touted as the official walking tour for the All-American Evening on the Mall on July 2, 2003, the National Constitution Center's pre-grand opening community celebration. On that evening, red, white and blue wayfinding signage and markers (scroll down to see some of the photos) were placed by the National Constitution Center throughout the Independence National Historical Park area, and a couple of thousand people took The Constitutional Walking Tour that evening.
