If you are looking for a great evening activity in Historic Philadelphia, look no further than the Spirits of ’76 Ghost Tour, which we say is 1 Part History, 2 Parts Haunt. The Philadelphia Inquirer called the Spirits of ’76 “Frightfully Fun!”

Spirits of '76 Ghost Tour

The Spirits of ’76 Ghost Tour travels the cobblestone streets of Old City and visits more than 20 sites including the historic homes and grave yards which are allegedly haunted. Plus you’ll see Philly’s monuments by moonlight. Some of our stops that have been the most active for ghost sightings include Old St. Mary’s Church & Cemetery, Old Pine Street Church & Cemetery, Washington Square Park and Independence Hall.

The Spirits of ’76 is great for families, friends, groups of all sizes, birthday parties and date night out.

The Spirits of ’76 Ghost Tour is not like a haunted house where people are jumping out at you. Rather, your guide will tell scary ghost stories with historical context – theater of the mind.  If someone does jump out at you on the tour, run for your life (just kidding).

The Spirits of ’76 is an outdoor walking adventure through the Old City and Society Hill sections of Philly, including on Paranormal Pine Street. The Spirits of ’76 Ghost Tour offers tours on a varying schedule so check online at www.Spiritsof76.com for more details.

While the Spirits of ’76 operates April to November for public tours, private tours can be arranged year round.  Additionally, group tours for school field trips, corporate events, fraternity and sorority events and other group outings are offered year round. The Fall is an excellent time to take the Spirits of ’76 before Halloween, but you can do it anytime of year
